Day 8 Beachport to Mount Gambier
The weather was much the same as we headed for Millicent, about 40km for our morning tea stop. We managed to find a roadhouse about halfway between Millicent and Mount Gambier for our lunch stop and the mandatory toasted cheese sandwich. There are a number of sawmills in Mount Gambier and the distinctive smell of pine sawdust greeted us as we entered the town.

Mount Gambier is in limestone country and this sinkhole was formed over millions of years by water erosion. A beautiful garden has been created inside by the local parks department.
Today's ride: 86 km (53 miles)
Total: 607 km (377 miles)
