The next morning the wind had abated slightly and the rain showers were less frequent as we headed to Robe for morning tea/early lunch then on to our overnight stop at Beachport. To get to Beachport we left the main road and turned south west towards the coast, straight into a headwind for about ten km. Before I arrived at the caravan park I had a lot of empathy with the French rider we had met at Meningie, this time I was the one who was knackered.
