The day after the madness I found the group in the morning, had breakfast with Wil and Toni while Alvin bailed to help Jacques take care of yet another bike problem, got a little time at the library, decided not to wait around for more time, had lunch with Alvin, ran some errands and did some shopping with him, saw Gracie and her dad on the way back to camp after getting some soap and other necessaries, and generally tried to stay cool by walking in the shade and drinking chocolate milk. Gave Kert a pretty good chain cleaning in the afternoon before dinner, ate a little at McDonald's for dinner, and took advantage of the hot tub access the campground has.

When the group started coming back from dinner, I asked Jacques if he was going to join his geisha in the hot tub. 'No, no. I'm too scared,' he said. Oh well. Toni joined me, and eventually Tim and Alvin did, too. We laughed and chatted and soaked our bones before heading to bed to rest before a long day with few services and 'almost certain' headwinds according to Alvin's leader notes. Ah, bicycle touring
