Racine to Harrington Beach
Official Day 1

After a nourishing and lovely breakfast with Dave and Loretta, Stan, Mike and I started our ride north toward Harrington Beach, passing through Milwaukee along the way. On the Oak Leaf Trail, we happened to be joined by the KR bike Club on their Saturday ride.
I had a rear flat on the trail north of Milwaukee. With Stan’s help, we fixed the flat and kept rolling. We found a very yummy lunch in Brown Deer at the St Pauls Fish Company.
Arrived at camp around 4:30 pm. Loretta and Dave had arrived at camp earlier. They will join us now and alternate driving with biking along the tour.
When my connection is better u will share some video and photos of our ride with the KR group, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the bridge over the interstate on the trail north of Milwaukee, a doe and a fawn in the forest near camp, and the beach near our campsite.
Pretty much an awesome day on the bike! More soon.
Notes from Stan: A lot of interesting birds calling at Harrington for Mid-July including Ea Towhee, Wood Thrush, Blue Gray Gnatcatcher and Great Crested Flycatcher
Today's ride: 75 miles (121 km)
Total: 92 miles (148 km)
