Grand Haven to Benton Harbor follows the lakeshore a lot. We followed bicycle route 35, as we have been since about Petoskey. A mix of trail and road. Some ups and downs and the fun kind. Since today is over 80 miles, and hotter, those of us carrying a ridiculous amount of gear let the car carry some of it. This helped. We had a great lunch stop on Saugatuck at Butler Patio with a view of boats on the Kalamazoo River. Three more days to go. Tomorrow we’ll leave Michigan and cross into Indiana!
