Amazingly the trains yesterday were very efficient so I arrived at the Rome airport with plenty of time to spare.  However, my flight was an hour delayed so I had several hours in the airport lounge.  Like the rest of Italy the lounge was chaotic however the food and wine were  pretty good.  I caught up with H&C at the hotel and I shared 2 bottles of port that had been given to me by the flight attendant.  I might be the first but I am sure it won’t be the last.

BTW Portugal is on GMT ie the same time as the UK not the rest of Europe so I am 1 hour closer to home or only an 8 hour time change from BC.
