Let the Adventure Begin

I am sitting in the Vienna airport lounge waiting for my last flight to Innsbruck.  This trip has been long with an overnight in Toronto (this was ok because I saw my sister) but then an 8 hour layover in Vienna before going to Innsbruck.  I just overnight in Innsbruck before taking the train to Verona on the 17th.  I am not this bad a planner, it all resulted from the cancellation of one flight and a cycle tour.  Changing the flights was prohibitively expensive so I kept them and adjusted.  Once in Verona I have 2 days to tour about before going to the Garda Bike Hotel for a week of cycling in the beautiful Lake Garda region in northern Italy.

The famous gold roof in the old city of Innsbruck. Built in the 1500s for the king and queen to watch activities in the square.

Steve Miller/GrampiesWhen is this trip happening? We will be cycling south to north in Portugal March-ish, not home right now since we are cycling in Yucatan so cannot check more precisely, but if our paths happen to cross it would be fun to meet up with you. Glancing at your routes, though, it does seem unlikely.

Looks as if you have a wonderful time planned. Think you may be on the same cruise out of Porto as us. It would be an extraordinary cycle blaze meet up if you are. Ours is with Emerald starting 25th May
