Day 78: Duluth to Herbster, WI

Crossing the pedestrian/bicycle bridge from Duluth to Superior- all the black bugs are mayflies. Fortunately for me, they don’t bite but it was a lot of insect biomass to navigate through

That little green sign lets me know I’m now in Wisconsin (and Douglas county more specifically). Woo hoo! New state!

I enjoy how a touch of arrogance is sort of part of the brand of Superior, WI. They even embraced it in the town slogan.

I wonder when this bench was installed on the sand next to Lake Superior. One of the tricky things about building in these zones is that sand dunes are quite dynamic
