Biking along Eagle Lake on the way out of the Adirondacks

Getting ready to take the ferry across a narrow portion of Lake Champlain from Ticonderoga, NY to Shoreham, VT

Me on the ferry. The ferry operator who took this photo shared with me that this flag is that of the Green Mountain Boys. They rose to prominence when Ethan Allen led a group of them on a midnight attack of Fort Ticonderoga during the Revolutionary War. It was the first major victory of the war

Too much foliage - nowhere to lean my bike against the sign. New state: Vermont!

And less than 20 minutes into Vermont I come across an apple orchard. I couldn’t resist
