We stayed on the 3rd floor of our hotel and they would not guarantee secure storage of the bikes. Let us be honest with a decent bolt cutter if someone wants the bike it’s gone. The elevator of course is too small for your bike so up the stairs it goes to your room

David said … take the Paniers off and make 2 trips … did Peter listen … hell no.., so with just 1 trip I did it, along with nicks and bleeding legs. Listen to the advise of your much experienced co-rider 

Tips

Check hotel on locking up bikes in a secure spot, if not are you allowed to take them to your room. 

Get a room on the main floor … easier than lugging your bike up the stairs. After flying for 13 hours it would suck if your bike was stolen … and this is day 3 of a 45 day trip
