Day 15 - rest / rain day Coyhaigue

Rain day ... so rest day

Rain rain go away. Haha but on a rest day no worries!

We woke up to cloudy dry weather. After breakfast and a nice walk then to get a coffee with real milk the skies opened up. David makes a great coffee however here they have powder milk at the hostel, well camping is fine when near a store then real milk is way better. Not a complete coffee snob, just a part one. Everywhere milk is sold in cartons not refrigerated, just when you open it !

Just like their eggs, all unrefrigerated. Europeans are smart too. Has to be some good reason why North America we refrigerate them. Gotta google that!

Dogs everywhere. Now a goal, need a dog picture everyday. These were protecting the pharmacy

Dig these flamingo sheets. Like a theme room at Niagara Falls

So a slow relaxing day! Hence the off the wall pictures

It was a good day to plan future day trips. By keeping the distance to around 60km makes it manageable with wind and elevation.

Komoot shows the following for tomorrow then combined with Windy we see the wind direction. Put them together you find out when you get headwinds.

You can scroll across by times during the day and see average and high winds. When red and a headwind. Well that will suck

The screen I look at once, staring at a hill on the screen and the hill you’re climbing just bites.

Rest days are also great for stretching. Can never do enough of those !

So tip for the day, make cycle buddies along the way they come in so handy !

Oh and don’t toss out what you think is garbage. I tossed out my SIM card when I swapped the one for down here. Duhhhh, remember saying I don’t need this piece of garbage. Yahhh I did.

Got my first haircut in South America, was saying I’ll wait till I come back. David kept saying it’s an experience, go for it.

After this guy was good. They use compressed air to blow the hair away! Danger close your eyes

Too lazy to shave, and now an opportunity to say screw it let it grow. I still look better than the Austin Matthews of the leafs. I don’t have his 80 million hockey contract however don’t have a lame one like his ! Even the media gives him a hard time.

Tip get a reaaaaaly short haircut before a long trip or take a chance.

Last year Portugal this year Chile. Next year ??????
