Hancock to Cumberland II

Forests alongside the canal were beautiful.

At the southern end of the Paw Paw Tunnel. The location of the flat block in the water at the entrance to the tunnel is where the 1976 dead rattlesnake lay. Perhaps the stone was a tombstone.

The boy and the mule had not moved an inch the last seven days.

Dad's sandals made it through the trip. Not sure what happened to the socks.
