August 22, 2023 - Air Canada to Toronto, Montréal and Over the Atlantic
Hopping our way along
Air Canada Flights yts-yyz-yul - Atlantic
AGAIN, I beat my alarm to 6 am and hopped up to find that Alex was doing the very same. We did the final list checks to make sure we had everything (we had almost everything) then waited for Mom and Dad to come and get us.

I 'popped' the bike cases into the truck and away we went, in no time arriving to YTS Timmins. Bags handed over and gone until LIS we went through security and waited and watched for the plane. Excitedly I watched as our bags went up the conveyor into the luggage hold - I have bright orange nylon straps to both strengthen and identify our bags from a mile away. Another successful event!

Not only did we leave YTS ahead of schedule but we were in to YYZ about twenty minutes ahead of schedule. Now we had some serious time to wile away in the airport. And not being a shopper...
Having access to the Maple Leaf Lounge we headed right to it (just a few tens of metres from our departing gate of D22) and had a great meal of butter chicken, rice, guacamole and butter tart squares (!). Alex was quite taken with the quality of food. Just you wait til Portugal, my lad. Just you wait.

Though our plane was a little bit late in arriving, there was not much of a delay in leaving YUL. Alex was in awe when he saw the pods where we would be spending the flights and he proceeded to explore every functionality of every chair movement and electronic gadgetry at his disposal. And then when the food came he was beaming with joy. The meal was pretty beam-worthy, too. I had a delicious slab of salmon and allowed myself a little splash of Rioja wine. I just had to do it.
