Day 18: Sauveterre de Guyenne to Leognan: Cycle path Roger Lapebie

Track J4 63 km

Today is our last day trip. Everything went smooth thanks to Phlippe. We were lucky to have only 2 days of sprinkles rain.

We had an appointment with Gerard, one of Philippe'friends. The 3 of us had a good meal in a local restaurant in Creon.

We will bike on 55 km bicycle path Roger La Pépébie a former railway track linking Sauveterre de Guyenne to Latresne before Bordeaux at Pont D'Arcin. The last 14 km are a nice slope following a small river of " Entre deux mer " - " In between the two sea " called " La Pimpine" going to La Garonne.

Leaving the hotel in Sauvetere de Guyenne, outside temperature was 14°C and we had to put our rain gears to remain warm.

We met Gerard, Phlippe's friend who offered us a cup of coffee

This young man was just finishing his worls bike tour after two years 14 000 km. He went through East Europe, Asia, South America, Africa

His mother was making the last few km with him to La Réole

Led lighting are switching on then off following the bicycle motion
