Day 21 thru Day 26 - Hangin' in Boofaloo
After a few lovely, relaxing days in Buffalo, I'll be back on the road Wednesday - - headin' east. Showers, a soft bed, cold milk in the fridge. Ah, the benefits of civilized life.
Was the lay reader in church - the lectionary was fining God in all places - - and I have certainly had ample opportunities. But it is more than just the sunset views of Mount Rainier. The challenge for me is to find God in those places where it might be least expected - in Harlowton or in downtown Billings when I am being panhandled by homeless people.
Rayma has been so wonderful watching the kitties. Mr. Pootie was a stray rescued from the alleys of Miles City, Montana. He went from frigid cold to pampered luxury - and deserves it. Ms. Stinkums was a stray who came up to my back door in Lawrence, Kansas 19 summers ago. She is an old lady, but still adorable. Rayma and I are the other strays who live here.
