Gettysburg

Due to a lack of a proper Internet connection, I started looking for accommodation rather late in the day. There was only one Warm Showers host in Gettysburg and she already has a guest.

Free Campsites listed the nearby state forest and the website of the forestry department gave the exact details.

After buying food at Walmart, I went to the forest and settled in.

Many trees blocked the tow path along the C&O canal and it was a struggle to get though with my fully loaded bicycle.
