Running out of water
A lovely day yesterday floating along to Vienna then a classical concert at night. Vienna at ten o’clock at night is wonderful with cyclists, walkers, tramcars. Today was through the wine growing area of the Wachau with a stop at a little wine village and the opportunity to visit the huge Benedictine Abbey at Melk. Ken and I took a pass on that walked into the little town and looked at the huge number of cyclists. Now, quite unlike when we were last cycling Donau Radweg the majority of the bikes were ebikes. Of course on such a popular route many are on package deals riding from Passau to Vienna with their luggage carried. One couple we talked to said they were doing it in 10 days which seemed to us an extraordinary long time to ride what is a reasonably short distance
Back to the world of River Cruising our news of the day is that we are running out of water in the river and the boat cant continue past Passau which we reach around lunchtime tomorrow. All is not lost however as we are being bused to Reginsberg and will join a sister ship and continue on what hopefully will be deeper water

Actually for us it was effortless must have been a nightmare for the crew
