On our own
Will our brains work?
We had our ‘last supper’ then after breakfast were thrust into the real world. A taxi dropped us off at the hotel. It is a pity that it was the wrong one and we seemed to be unable to follow directions to get to the correct one but after going around in circles for some time we found it and were pleased to be able to check in straight away. After the ship the room seems tiny but it is adequate.
A big sort out and of we went to buy train tickets and mail stuff we no longer need home. We are booked on an early train tomorrow and with any luck should be able to get to the bike shop tomorrow afternoon. Now for the mail home. Google maps told us the office we needed was 300m away but Google maps were playing tricks on us and after walking 5km (which for those who know me will realise this is a challenge) we were back at the hotel with all our stuff and will send it back from Bremen
Central Amsterdam is alive with tourists and cyclists. We loved our tours of it yesterday but feel that it is too big a city for us and we will be pleased to be in the smaller places we enjoy so much
Just went around the corner to an Italian restaurant for dinner where Ken was delight to get Bira Morretti to have with his pizza that was loaded with 4 cheeses including his favourite blue
