Day 31: Hermanus
We got into Hermanus late on Friday (i.e., just before sunset) so didn't see much of the town before crashing for the night.
It's a touristy town - nice town with whales floating around in the bay. There's a path on the clifftops with lots of view points. We planned to wander around in the morning for a few minutes, see some whales and head off.
The weather was great, the sea calm, and there weren't any whales. We looked again. Still no whales.
It turned out we were more tired than we thought from the previous few days of long daily rides and walking along the cliff tops was enough exertion for us. We ended up going to the Saturday market, wandered around town for a while, continuing to not see any whales. Apparently there are some - way out in the bay. We're a bit late in the season.
On again tomorrow.
