Day 26-27: Algerynskraal
The headwinds we'd been battling were bringing a storm. The forecast suggested it would rain a bit, then a lot, then a bit more. We didn't want to believe it, but we chose a roof just in case the weather was really rubbish. The tent can handle rain, but it's not great in strong wind.
The forecast was right. It rained most of the night and then most of the day Monday. Hard enough and long enough that we weren't going anywhere. Our marvelous host, Michelle, offered to pick up some food for us in Ladismith to stop us running out. So we did what you do when you're stuck: eat all day.
Next day the forecast was better in the afternoon, but it looked pretty awful when we looked in the morning, so we had to stay another day. We really did run out of food - but another trip into Ladismith with Michelle sorted that out.

We are heading toward Cape Town, but we've decided that we're close enough to the most southern point of Africa that it's worth a detour. Probably only be there once!
