To Koocanusa Marina
It gets better & better
We have hardly any WiFi where we’re staying tonight, so I’ll keep this short.
At 26 miles, today’s ride was the shortest of the tour and potentially one of the most scenic, if that’s even possible. Rich and Jim left at approximately 10:00. Gen used KT tape to support my shoulder and help prevent hunching forward while it’s healing, and then we followed.
We took 5th St. out of town, turning onto a series of roads with “Haul” in their names. The road was almost devoid of cars. We caught up with the guys about 8 miles into the ride.
They were having a great time. The weather was perfect and there was a tailwind. Each day has been better than the previous one.
Gen and I went on, stopping to wait at the intersection onto the highway that would take us the rest of the way. More traffic here, including a coupe of logging trucks.
Next stop was the Libby Dam, and then on to the Kookanusa Marina, our destination for the night.
For the most part, I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves.
