Mostly coast
Day 42 - Sanremo to Albenga
Aside from komoot trying to take us up horrible little roads - you know the kind, really narrow and really steep and not asphalt, more like concrete made of tiny little steps, that are really nasty to climb and even worse and much more dangerous to descend - today was fairly uneventful. We did have a decent climb in the middle, on a real, decent road, but once we learned to ignore komoot and take the obvious coast road which was usually more direct and always less climbing, we got on fine.

The coast has continued to be incredibly beautiful. Perfect deep blue ocean, miles of white sand, dramatic rocky hills, and picturesque Italian towns with palm trees and orange and pink toned houses.
Soon we will be moving inland. The eurovelo 8 route - well, it varies depending on what source you use - but it follows the river Po which is north of us. It's actually way way north of us, and I'm not really sure what's in between, or the best way to get there... Maybe another train is in our future.
Today's ride: 68 km (42 miles)
Total: 1,547 km (961 miles)
