Beijing is northeast of Shijiazhuang. East-northeast.

The road between the two cities goes northeast. East-northeast.

I went east. East-easteast.

I did not make it to Beijing.

I made it to a gas station about 50km outside of town. And hitchiked home.

This was better than the next day's attempt. The next day I went southwest.

But I saw some very pretty mountains.
