On the Danube Bike Trail-Glorious Riding

The weather has improved. Since starting the Danube Bike Trail the sun has been shining and has gotten warmer every day.

Leaving Linz this morning we could feel that it is going to be another hot day with clear blue skies. We really liked Linz - spacious parks, interesting historical centre and interesting architecture - like below, the ultra modern striking Art Gallery (Kunst Museum) juxtaposed with the soaring towers and steeples of the past.

Large groups of swans are a common sight on the Danube - bathing and cleaning up was the order of the day for the swans and ducks.

Charmaine RuppoltRegarding the EliptiGo bikes - - they are neat looking, but I think I would get tired of standing up all the time!

The ride out of Linz wound its way through miles of park land followed by open fields like this.

Lunch break in a cool, shady park in Enns. The owner of the dog offered to take a photo of us

We couldn't figure out why the city was so deserted and all of the shops were closed. We later found out that today is a national religious holiday and everything is closed

This cat had climbed the ivy covered railing and when it saw us it came flying/running for us. It was purring and craving affection. After Mary Ellen looked at the flooding levels on the wall the cat sat down at the base of the wall
