Another Day in Vienna

We are staying in a really nice hotel close to the centre of Vienna. The really good news is that we got a real deal, only 48 euros a night. Today we are going to explore Vienna on our bike. We also want to find a good travel book store to get some maps for our trip south.

When touring, we seem to spend a lot of time reading and looking at maps.

These openings were made with horses and carriages in mind, not two lanes of cars. Bikes fit nicely.

Horse drawn carriages are a popular way for tourists to be whisked around the centre of Vienna.

We love these bookstores in Europe that feature a mind boggling selection of maps and books related to travel. Freytag and Berndt is an excellent travel store, particularly for maps.
