Frankfurt
Up bright and early at 4 am, but of course the sun has been up much longer here in Iceland. Raven's B&B was super quiet, comfortable and full of thoughtful touches provided by our hostess, Hulda. Breakfast fixings were left ready for us and a snack for the plane.
Check in was remarkably simple for bleary eyed travellers/airline staff...and soon we were on our way to Frankfurt.
We realized how lucky we are as we emerged with our luggage to be met by our friends, Cora and her children: Justus and Clara. They will drive us to their home about 60 km away.
We are so happy to be back in the beautiful countryside and villages of Hessen. We feel like we are coming home and have developed roots here.
