To Beaumont Provincial Campground: another bear sighting
There sits the bear, 5 feet away, eating berries as Rachel cycles by. "I look at him, he looked at me. I thought a bear, I should take a picture.... then immediately thinking, a bear I better pedal faster." She keeps cycling, and Patrick catches up just past the bear and does try for a picture, but it scurries away.
As we set off this morning, it looked to be a nice day, although cold 7C... a few km down the road, we both need to stop for more clothes and additionally gloves for Rachel. The kilometers tick off slowly today for Rachel. The road starts to have more hills, and at Fraser Lake a big dark could is forming. The last 20 km to the campground is long. We get the tent pitched with as a few sprinkles start, then we stretch out in the tent.
About 5:30pm Rachel starts dinner of a red meat sauce and noodles, just as we dish up, the rain starts, and we take refuge inside the vestibule....it doesn't rain long and Patrick ventures out to heat water to wash the dishes.
