Rest Day in Waterton NP: Last day in Canada
The wind is blowing strongly almost the whole night. When we are up, the air seems smoky. We have muffins & coffee for breakfast in the shelter from the wind.
A caravan to our side had helped block some of the wind.... they are from Boise!! We visit, they too have traveled in Cambodia and China/Tibet. We exchange addresses. Mark and Lisa are leaving today and we say goodbye and walk to town. Rachel does laundry, Patrick walks to the Prince of Wales Hotel, the wind continues.
We are not up for a hike especially with the air quality being so bad. We have a cup of coffee, look in some of the shops all with "end of season" sales. A sandwich for lunch and then back to camp. Later Rachel returns to town to do some shopping at the souvenir stores, Patrick reads in the tent.
The wind blows and blows.
For dinner we go to Waterton and have a pizza and spend the last of our loonies. Tomorrow back in the USA.
