Rest Day in Beaver Creek, Yukon: historic Quonset hut church
We sleep until 9:30 am, though with the time change it's really 8:30 to us. We haven't once again adjusted to the yesterday's time change. A rest day is due, so even though this isn't a scenic place, it does offer food and free internet access.
Today we try Ida's Cafe for breakfast and it's a nice one. Rachel goes back to the Visitors center to get a map of the town, really to find out where the historic Quonset hut church is located...it's also almost in view of everything else in Beaver Creek. Patrick works on the internet, we go back to 1202 store and find green beans and pineapple slices to add to the Cajun rice/beans/sausage packets for dinner. After dinner we go to the Westmark Inn and wander through the gift shop, go to the lounge for a pint of Yukon Cranberry wheat beer and share an apple pie slice with ice cream, a good rest day.
