Kathy and Dave managed a good night's sleep.  We were out by 8am for a 27km test ride.  Them to check the bikes fitted them and worked, which they did, and me to test my knee.  Didn't lock or seize, some pain, but took it gently, particularly on the hills.  Gorgeous summer day and Winchester and the countryside looked stunning

They then had a day enjoying the medieval history of Winchester while I had some work to follow up on.

We then worked out that several of our group were staying near Winchester as they cycle to the start in Brighton, so we were able to go and meet them for a drink and an intro, and pick up our shirts.
