Angkor Wat and other temples
We were up early to see the sun rise at Angkor Wat. This is a big thing, as many people were there. Sadly, it was cloudy. It is an amazing place. Very large and carvings everywhere. Several restoration attempts have been made. The Germans are there now.
This was the place I wanted to see, as I had heard about long ago.

A fairly uneventful bike ride followed.
Then a drive to Banteay Srei, made with pink stone. These are all Hindu and fell into disrepair due to wars and conversion to Buddhism. Then to Ta Prohm which is Buddhist and less old.
Angkor Wat was weirdly too fixed up and not fixed up enough. It is huge. So many stones were needed. It is impressive by size. But Ta Prohm is really amazing due to its wild and very derelict look. Also, I haven't seen it but this is Said to be where 'Lara Craft Tomb Raider" was filmed. Very fascinating place.
Quite a few birds are around as there is a lot of jungle.
Today's ride: 28 km (17 miles)
Total: 278 km (173 miles)
