Cambodia 🇰🇠birding day 1
Srun planned to pick me up at 5:30. Off we went catch 2 boats to the conservation area. But first, we saw several bird species by the dock. Down what looked like a river, but is a road in the dry season. We changed boats in the floating village. The children paddle boats and run outboards.
The floating houses are not connected to a sewage system. All human waste goes directly to the lake. The houses move up and down the bank depending on water level.
We hoped to see 7 species that are uncommon but found in the conservation area. We saw all 7. Also seen, many Silver Langurs
Total species seen was 47 and 21 were life list sightingsfor thr day. We stopped at this temple complex and found a few species.
