For those of you who don't know me personally I read and appreciate every comment. It's not only motivation for the ride but it creates motivation for me to write. It's very hard sending things out into the world with no idea if anyone is reading.

If you know me personally I will be available via WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, and through iphone i-message. I will not receive text messages.

I am looking forward to following your ride. I retire in May and this route is on my list, possibly in 2026. In fact, I would do just what you are doing, just skip that northern part and ride south from Auckland. Great minds think alike ;-)
