Day 6 - Wilmot to Lebanon
Woke up early after being serenaded by frogs all night. Eagle pond has the highest frog population density I’ve ever seen.
Got a few miles in before stopping at the Danbury Country Store for Coffee and provisions. Rail trail again today with stops at a streamside bench and the Canaan library. The trail got progressively rougher until Lebanon, but never too much for 37mm tires.
Met Ed, a former bike tourer who was out on a ride with his wife. Also ran into Nick aka Tingers, a backpacker who was on his first bikepacking trip. (I’m writing this a few hours later and hope I’m remembering your name correctly!)
Spent the night in Lebanon NH with Dom, an experienced bike tourer, grad student, and all around interesting person.
