The rider: Hi, I’m Alex. I’ve been a lifelong rider of bicycles for fun and utility in my hometown of Buffalo, NY and my newly adopted Portsmouth, NH. In 2020 I rode my first tour: a 400 mile trip down the Maine coast.

The bike: A 2012 Surly Long Haul Trucker bought used in Buffalo, NY around 2018. It served commuting duty for a while and has accumulated modifications along the way. Affectionately named The Tank by a friend.

The route: There isn’t much of a plan. Generally picking up where I left off in 2020. Starting from Portsmouth and heading west-ish. We’ll figure it out as we go.
