This kid was going in the opposite direction, then turned around and cycled on the opposite of the road with us for a good 10km.

There goes the road to Calitzdorp. Distances: Barrydale to Lade Smith (80km) to Caliztdorp (49km)

Scott AndersonThis is all such an inspiration, but I’m reading it with envy too. We had a tour of the south cape well mapped out years ago and pulled the plug on it at the last minute because we lost our nerve. I’ve wanted to see the Karoo ever since.
