Extraordinary ride to Cerro Castillo. Cut short stay at Coyhaique. 20 to 25 km/hr wind in my back. This help most of the 2000 meters of climbing. Scenery is different , rolling hills. When turning in the first 1000 m mountain pass, violent head wind, wow this is living. Very cold when going down to the second mountain pass. I was warned by the park ranger not to camp in region. Hum! I stealth camped behind trees. A pink tent does not help.

Woke up to 4 deg C, climbed up to 1100 m then blasted down the mountain at 50 km/ hr, wind chill unbearable.

Today's ride: 100 km (62 miles)
Total: 876 km (544 miles)
