We rent clean pigs.
We had perfect weather for our ride today. We started and finished on rail trails, with a nice interlude on county roads in between. If we hadn't left the trails, we never would have seen this sign:

Obviously I wouldn't want to rent a dirty pig, but the sign still left me with questions. Why exactly would you rent a pig? Is it to eat up undesirable vegetation in your yard? Is it to eat up desirable vegetation in your undesirable neighbor's yard? Is it to mate with your sow? Would they notice if the pig had only 3 legs when you returned the rental?
We made another attempt to identify the poptree. Some guys doing maintenance on the trail said it sounded like wild cherry. We've seen Amish stores selling oak and cherry furniture, so it would make sense to have wild cherry trees growing in this region.

We finished our ride in the town of Mt. Vernon. Happily, there does not appear to be much Mount in Mount Vernon. The town does have some excellent murals.
