WHAT with getting the house ready to sell, then going through the selling process (thankfully it happened quickly), then preparing the place we'll be house-sitting for the next while, it is a wonder that I have even had a moment to cycle, let alone plan for some type of excursion. But it just might happen after all!

Our son Alex has decided to take some extra secondary school courses so will be with us at home for another year before post-secondary. Some time ago I sort of wondered out loud to him if he'd be keen or not keen on us setting out to Portugal. He excitedly answered, "How about Spain?" I wondered if he wanted to bus and train around, to which he replied, "No, a bike tour!" This was before the house had sold, so I said nothing could be considered until it was sold, final and closed.

Which brings us to the present - closing day is in three weeks, so why not head off afterwards for a few pedal strokes? I'll see what I can do.
