Bill ShaneyfeltSnapping turtle... Stay clear of the bitey end! Although primarily aquatic, females roam around this time of year looking for a good spot to lay eggs.

A bit windy at times throughout the day. Take a look at the flag at the Meyersdale Visitor Center and Museum.

1st major attraction : The eastern continental divide. We were surprised that the rise was short and only slightly steeper.

Backside of the divide tunnel. Then happy coasting from the divide to Frostburg. Trail and a rural road seemed to merge for awhile. Rougher combination of lime rock, asphalt and gravel.
