Ljubljana

Ljubljana is great for cycling and is a green modern city. It reminded me of Copenhagen. A river runs right through the old town section and there are lots of good looking cafes and restaurants. There is a lot of interesting architecture and the bridges over the river all have there own character too. Best of all a very large part of the downtown area is closed to cars. Not only does that make it safer to walk around it makes it quieter too. Once you are not around cars you realize how much noise they make.

Massive areas of downtown are covered with this surface. I kept staring at it. Maybe it’s just me but maybe it should carry a health warning.
