RT 66 Snow Jam

After 20 consecutive days riding we were ready for a rest day, and it looks like we’re going to get two. Big snow last night in central NM, closing parts of I-40.

We’re currently hanging out in the comfortable Sunset Motel in Moriarty, NM, where we have found a friendly motel guest to give us a lift (bikes, bags and all) 80 miles down the road to Santa Rosa, where we can pick up the 66 route again.

Overall, we’re feeling fortunate and appreciative that we’re safe from the weather, we get a nice two day break and we’ll be back on the bikes Monday. Eastward Ho!
