Day 10....Lincoln City to Newport

If you look closely you can see the whale and the water coming out of the blow hole.

A needed shorter day today. It turned out to be a good day to go short as it was with dy and rainy most of the day. There were some very well known spots at Boiler Bay, Depoe Bay, and Otter Crest Loop for whale watching. It was awesome to see so many just 100-200 yards away from the bluffs way above the ocean. A couple times you would see them out of water but also times where you would see several blowing water within a few yards of each other. Otter Crest Loop is an amazing little 4 mile road that parallels Hwy 101 with a huge climb to about 500 feet above the ocean. The views from the top are just stunning.  I arrived in Newport early enough to get to Bike Newport, the local bike shop and get a couple things done and had time to watch a little college football.

Today's ride: 28 miles (45 km)
Total: 450 miles (724 km)
