Why would anyone want to go here?

Steve ClarkPerhaps it’s a warning.
Or, maybe it’s a sign for skeeters to read.

I approached going over Hoosier pass with a combination of fear and excitement. Left Alma for the long climb and made it!! Highest point on my trip at 11,539 feet above sea level and on the continental divide

I mentioned fear and excitement earlier. I leave you with these two tidbits

I will face my fear
I will permit it to pass over me and through me
And when it has gone past me I will turn to see it’s path
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing
Only I will remain

Frank Herbert, Dune

And the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I’ve  seen it rainin' fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullaby
Rocky Mountain high, Colorado
Rocky Mountain high, Colorado
