Last tour-Western Wilderness 1

We started the day with a sunrise walk to Lake Matheson so see the reflection of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman in the lake.  We also went to a spot to best see the Fox Glacier that is rapidly receding.  After breakfast we drove for 2 hours along the west coast highway until we reached Ross and the start of the West Coast Wilderness trail, our final trail.  It was a fairly short and flat section on the middle of which we did a walk among the tree tops.  The latter part of the trail was a single track winding its way among the trees of the west coast.  It was a lot of fun to ride.  We are in Hokitika tonight one of the centres of greenstone or Pounamu and of course I had to buy a piece.

Our final trail of our tour, the Western Wilderness.the arrows show how are tour we will be broken into 3 pieces.
