Last day on the Otago Central Trail
Today we finished the Otago Central Rail Trail ending in Clyde. It is a lovely little town that has become a hub for cycling because there are now 3 trails that leave from here. The rail trail was good fun and generally pretty easy except for the wind that hit us one day. Once in Clyde we had the option to ride 2/3s of the Dunstan Lake trail or pass. I wanted to ride it because it is repeated to be a beautiful ride, and yes it was. The problem was that it was quite hilly with very narrow sections and we were on a bit of a time crunch. To solve this problem I asked to borrow the spare e-bike to make it easier for me and make it possible to meet the time challenge. I could ride this trail without the motor but not within the time constraints because of the difficulty. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed riding the trail on the e-bike and it was beautiful. Once we finished cycling it was off to Queenstown where I met up with Tim and where we have a rest day.
