Dive into Absinth - oh yes oh yes
Well, yesterday evening we got into Absinth. We took our bikes and rode to the next restaurant downtown La Port at lake de Joux.

On the menu there was no single word about Absinth. So we asked for Absinth and the waitress was looking at us like if you asked for coffee in Colombia.

The Absinth was great. We even had - like Hemingway prefered- Absinth filled up with Champagne. (See yestetdays blog). It‘s one thing to pull up with Hemingway. But on the other hand Absinth mixed with Champagne will never be our signature drink.

This drink is as far from an Aperol Spritz as Trump from Harris. We had one drink and thought this was enough. Maybe it would taste better if you slam three of them - but without me.
Instead we enjoyed one of the best cheese Fondues we ever had.
Today it was raining again. At the lake de joux we had 10 degrees in the morning. After climbing up to 1300 meters it felt like 5 degrees or with the wind like minus, haha.
On top of the hill it woulda been beautiful - except the weather. Great wide landscape, no traffic, lots of cows and silence. We found a „buvette“ in the middle of nowhere and drank the best irish coffee ever.
We should have eaten dinner in this hut but we decided to continue. The downhill was fast, wet and it was almost freezing. We made a stop for lunch in the wood. Had some bread and cheese and got dressed with all the clothes we could find. It got better.
Down at lake Geneva it stopped raining but still no sun. We sweared that we‘ll never use a weather app again. Why use an app when it shows the opposite??
We reached Geneva - tomorrow we‘ll conquer France.
[i] Today‘s route: Lac de Joux - Geneva 89 km
Today's ride: 89 km (55 miles)
Total: 242 km (150 miles)
