Day 12 - Banff Images and Detour Plans

The clouds of the Canadian Rockies give and take VIEWS

Day 12 - Brief glance at Banff’s Home

Today I did some logistic planning for my detour around the wildfires which have closed numerous roads and attractions.  A Canadian I met today said officials don’t see the roads (my route) reopening until September.

Yes, I admit it is sad, but nature owns our world, we are just visitors.  The words “Don’t lift” have been part of this tour from its beginning.  I’m not lifting (stopping) not yet.  Rally the heavy rescue towing trucks and get this tour back on the road - there’s  a job to be done.

On August 8, I plan on taking a shuttle from Banff to Kamloops, that is a town west - five hours driving.  From there I will be on track again.  The detour will allow me time to explore some beautiful and hopefully meet some of the “pros” from the television series Highway Thru Hell.

To my family who keeps supporting me from afar, thank you!

Keith A. SpanglerThanks. It is challenging to stop Wendy
I always say I'm going to do more stopping, but my mind is often destination driven.....
