Paris Wonders

The Seine, the Louvre and Ste Chapelle

We squeeze in a quick ride along the Seine in the morning to get a taste of the city before meeting our friends to visit some of the sights. We've brought along our Paris Museum Passes – a great deal with access to more than 50 museums.

Notre Dame is still closed for repair from the fire in 2019. It's scheduled to reopen in time for the 2024 Olympics. Good to have deadlines.

Many bridges to cross the Seine, or "Ponts" as they are called.

Our first tour is at the Louvre. The line to see the Mona Lisa is very long so we don't get a close-up look,  but there are so many other wondrous things to see.

Thrilling to walk around the Venus de Milo.

After lunch we admire the 1113 stained glass windows of Ste Chapelle, the dazzling 13th century Gothic chapel. A little sunlight breaks through the clouds, illuminating the beautiful colors.
