Yeh! Our first day of real riding and what a day it was.
We had another delicious breakfast with Francois before being waved off by him and his dog parkour.
Todays ride was a spectacular. The roads wound quietly through beautiful country side and small villages. The temperature was perfect with the sun shining and warm and no noticeable wind.

Our last 15 miles was spent on a beautiful rail trail. Even though the roads have been super quiet for the whole day it was still a real pleasure to come on to the bike trail and enjoy carefree riding through the trees.

Our dinner started with a delicious melon & prosciutto. Then duck with potatoes, herbs and green beans. The coffee course was a sampling of pastries.

Meg could obviously tell I was a sucker for a ball chasing dog and spent the night bringing me her ball. Any time I took to long in rolling the ball back to her she would prompt me with a quiet huff while poised to catch the ball.
Today's ride: 45 miles (72 km)
Total: 46 miles (74 km)
